On July 1 for the past 27 years, the Rotary Club of Guelph-Wellington ducks have floated down the mighty Speed River. A community highlight that celebrates our great country and raises money for local charities. The 2016 the Rotary Day Celebrations saw over 5,000 people attend our event and enjoy dozens of family friendly activities. Equally important, we were able to raise over $30,000 for local charities.
Today I am writing asking for your sponsorship support that will allow us to build prize packages fitting of a spectacular Canada Day Celebration. This is an excellent opportunity for you to also raise your local profile through our publicity efforts which include a high traffic website, social media postings, Rotary newsletters, signage and advertising within the community.
As a sponsor, you would also have the opportunity to promote your involvement in this event and sell tickets for the Duck Race in order to help make this event a success.
The proceeds from the Duck Race allow our Rotary club to make a difference in our community. The charities that will directly benefit from funds raised this year are:
The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington helps children and youth reach their full potential by funding programs that support their intellectual, emotional and physical growth.
Kids Ability is a dynamic, multi-faceted organization that serves children with a wide range of special needs.
Hopewell Children’s Homes provides high-quality personal care for children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities and complex needs and support for their families.
